The Mosteiro Santa Maria da Vitória, (the Batalha Monastery) is a Dominican convent in Batalha, Portugal. The convent was built to thank the Virgin Mary for the Portuguese victory over the Castilians in the battle of Aljubarrota, in 1385. The 725-yr-old, late Gothic convent, is now an UNESCO World Heritage site.
