A native boy holds an iguana kill during a hunt for game along a remote stretch of the Macal River in western Belize.In front of him is a hand-hewed dugout canoe that the locals, who are direct descendents of the Mayans, use to traverse the winding river along the Guatemalan border.Iguanas are used as a food source for the natives.
